A legislator in the state of California may propose a bill that would get at the heart of a parenting discipline decision that still generates debate, even in this enlightened era. 

This is a new one - the lawmakers in the Golden State are going to try to legislate parenting styles.  They have not yet figured out how to define “spanking” but I’m sure they’ll figure it out.  Yikes.
