A new online service called “Backpack” promises to simplify your life by collecting all of your notes and tasks into a single online place.

37Signals’ Backpack Personal and small business information manager service is an easy-to-use website where you can jot down your thoughts, things-to-do, or any number of items that you need to keep track of.  Best of all, they are accessible from any computer.  Backpack can even send reminders to your wireless phone or store files for you.

Limitations include no reporting of to-do’s across pages that you create and no mobile capability at this time.  Still, given the low price tag (free for a basic account and moderately priced for extra storage) its hard to argue that 37Signals has created something that will doubtless be useful for many parents out there.
