As published in HealthDay, the FDA just approved a DNA based Cystic Fibrosis test.

HealthDay reports on the Tag-It Cystic Fibrosis Kit.  Cystic Fibrosis is the cause of chronic lung disease that claims most of its victims before their 30th birthday.  This test would allow parents to know whether they are carriers of the disease, since medical testing is not as widespread as it could be, although great strides are being made.
