The U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) just released new 2005 model year crash tests and rollover ratings for passenger cars.  The report includes data for nineteen cars that have not previously been tested, or were not tested in all categories. 

The NHTSA released crash tests and rollover ratings for 2005 passenger cars, which many of us use as our family car.  Three newly tested models earned top rankings for all seating arrangements including the Mitsubishi Galant, Toyota Avalon and the Volvo V70 all of which have side air bags.  Each 2005 car tested received 4 out of 5 stars for rollover, which is great news if you are in the market for a new vehicle to take your family around safely.
