Last year, we posted a piece on the infamous “helicopter parents,” named for their incessant meddling in their young adult offspring’s lives.  I saw this article today which describes some variant “helicopter” behaviors, and can also serve as a lesson for parents of younger children who may face similar challenges a few years down the road.

I have to admit, it must be very difficult to find the right level of parental involvement for children who are over 18, but under the age at which we consider them to be independent adults (this varies between families, so I’m not mentioning any age levels).  These helicopter parents behaviors, however, are most definitely crossing the line.  Can you imagine accompanying your child on their first job interview?  Apparently, it happens more than one would think.
