For those of you who have seen the Roomba in your friends’ house or your local Sharper Image, iRobot has got a new thing to put on your holiday gift list.

Thanks to the guys over at Gizmodo, we learned of a new offering which is - yes this name is not a joke - the Scooba robotic floor washer.  Due out this holiday season, the Scooba preview page says that it will vacuum, wash and dry in a single pass using a specially formulated Clorox solution. 

If we can get our hardwood floors installed in time, we will get one of these puppies and see how it holds up against the dropped cheerios and dried mac-n-cheese that are generously spread about the dining area by our resident preschoolers.
