This one tracks what your kid is doing in their car...the question is, do you really want to know?
The Gadgeteer has a review on something called the Driveright Carchip that plugs into the vehicle on-board diagnostic computer slot (located under the dash of most newer vehicles in the U.S.). From the vehicle’s on-board computer this little gadget pulls acceleration, speed, braking and other data that can let you know how your teen is driving. The information may also be subject to subpeona in legal proceedings.
This one in particular raises trust issues between parents and teens. Would you put one of these in your kids’ car?
